Oral SERM

Raloxifene is an oral selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that has estrogenic actions on bone and anti-estrogenic actions on the uterus and breast. It is used in the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and to reduce the risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and in postmenopausal women at high risk for invasive breast cancer.

Specifically, Raloxifene is a non-steroidal SERM belonging to the benzothiophene family. Raloxifene is very similar in its mode of action as Nolvadex (Tamoxifen), and does exhibit both Estrogen agonist as well as Estrogen antagonist effects in different tissues throughout the body. In particular, Raloxifene serves as an Estrogen antagonist in breast tissue and uterine tissue while at the same time acting as an Estrogen agonist in bone tissue. Raloxifene is in fact utilized in medicine in the prevention of osteoporosis in post-menopausal females due to its estrogenic activity in bone. In contrast, Nolvadex is known to act as an Estrogen antagonist in bone, which obviously presents a problem for female breast cancer patients who have been prescribed the use of Nolvadex. Considering these properties, it is therefore understandable why Raloxifene had demonstrated some clear advantages over Nolvadex, and has proven itself as a novel new drug in the treatment of various post-menopausal diseases in female patients.

Raloxifene Advantage

Because of Raloxifene’s greater differences in its selectivity of Estrogen agonism and antagonism in different tissues in the body, there is ongoing investigation of its application in other diseases, including prostate cancer, acromegaly, uterine cancer, cardiovascular disease, and breast cancer.

Bodybuilders and anabolic steroid users are attracted to the use of Raloxifene due to its nature as an anti-estrogen in the fight against Estrogen-related side effects that are usually caused by the use of aromatizable androgens that result in high blood plasma levels of Estrogen in the body. A common estrogenic side effect as a result of this is the development of gynecomastia. In the realm of gynecomastia in particular, Raloxifene has actually demonstrated more promising effectiveness than Nolvadex (Tamoxifen).

As is common with all SERMs and anti-estrogens, Raloxifene has also demonstrated considerable benefit in stimulating endogenous natural Testosterone production in males, as studies have demonstrated an increase of serum Testosterone levels by 20% from 120mg of Raloxifene per day.

Raloxifene Dosage

The recommended dosage is one 60 mg EVISTA (raloxifene) tablet daily, which may be administered any time of day without regard to meals.

Raloxifene (marketed as Evista) is an oral selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that has estrogenic actions on bone and anti-estrogenic actions on the uterus and breast. It is used in the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and to reduce the risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and in postmenopausal women at high risk for invasive breast cancer.

This drug is different from hormones (including estrogens and progestins). It works by acting like estrogen (as a selective estrogen receptor modulator or SERM) in some parts of the body. Raloxifene helps to preserve bone mass, but it does not affect the breast and uterus like estrogen or relieve symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes.

Raloxifene is indicated for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It is also used for reduction of risk and treatment of invasive breast cancer, and it also reduces breast density. For either osteoporosis treatment or prevention, supplemental calcium and/or vitamin D should be added to the diet if daily intake is inadequate.

Raloxifene is used to prevent and treat bone loss (osteoporosis) in women after menopause. Maintaining strong bones by slowing bone loss helps to reduce the risk of fractures.

Raloxifene may also lower the chance of getting a certain type of breast cancer (invasive) in women after menopause.

Toremifene Citrate Effect

Toremifene citrate is an oral selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) which helps oppose the actions of estrogen in the body. Licensed in the United States under the brand name Fareston, toremifene citrate is FDA-approved for use in advanced (metastatic) breast cancer. It is also being evaluated for prevention of prostate cancer under the brand name Acapodene.

It has already been covered that Toremifene is a SERM, and serves to block Estrogen at various receptor sites in certain tissues within the body (breast tissue in particular). As a layman explanation, Toremifene pretends to be a ‘fake’ Estrogen that occupies Estrogen receptors within breast tissue. With these receptors occupied by Toremifene, real Estrogen cannot perform their jobs there. Toremifene does not reduce total blood plasma levels of Estrogen. In addition to being antagonistic to Estrogen receptors in breast tissue, it is also antagonistic to Estrogen at the hypothalamus gland (this essentially ‘tricks’ the hypothalamus into thinking there is little or no circulating Estrogen levels in the body, causing it to increase its manufacture of Testosterone so that it can utilize aromatization to restore these levels.

Toremifene Citrate exerts its effects by antagonizing the estrogen receptor in some tissues, and agonizing it in others. In this way, certain estrogenic pathways are activated and others are blockaded. It seems to exert estrogenic effects on blood lipids, reducing LDL and total cholesterol, as well as estrogenic effects on bone, improving density. It would also appear to exert anti-estrogenic effects in breast tissue, displacing the traditional effects of estrogen, effectively helping prevent breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Fareston Administration

In the fight against breast cancer, standard Fareston doses will normally be 60mg per day. The total duration of use is unpredictable and will be based on patient need. It’s not uncommon for treatment to last a year or two and then AI’s to be added if needed. Once the cancer is in remission, compounds like Fareston are commonly used to support the improved state.

For the anabolic steroid user combating gynecomastia, standard Fareston doses will fall in the 30-60mg per day range and will work very well for most men. If this is not enough protection, while you could try increasing the dose your best bet would be to move to AI use. You will find Fareston works very well in combating gynecomastia due to the use of any testosterone, Dianabol and Anadrol. You will also find it works well with Equipoise and Deca Durabolin. However, as Deca Durabolin is also a progestin, men who are very sensitive to that hormone may need an AI. The same can be said of the Trenbolone hormone. Trenbolone does not aromatize, but it is a progestin. Further, the use of an aromatizing steroid with a compound like Trenbolone can increase the risk of gynecomastia in some men. While many will not need gynecomastia protection due to progestins and will get by with SERM’s to combat aromatase, some sensitive men will need an AI. Regardless, if Fareston works for you it will cover the entire breadth of the cycle from start to finish.

PCT Purpose

Nolvadex and Clomid are two of the most popular Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs) in the world and part of the supplemental plan for many performance enhancing athletes. More athletes buy Nolvadex for PCT purposes than any other purpose; in-fact, more performance enhancers buy Nolvadex for their PCT use than any other medication available.

In-fact, more performance enhancers buy Nolvadex for their PCT use than any other medication available. As you understand the purpose of the PCT period is to stimulate natural testosterone production after a cycle of anabolic steroids has been discontinued; this is necessary as anabolic steroids suppress natural testosterone production. Further, beyond testosterone stimulation this is the period when we begin normalizing our body but in the case of Tamoxifen Citrate it is testosterone production we are concerned with here.

Gynecomastia(male breast enlargement) is one of the most worrisome side-effects that can occur due to anabolic androgenic steroid use, fortunately you can buy Nolvadex and combat this effect; no, Tamoxifen Citrate will not reduce the amount of estrogen in your body but it will prevent a large portion of it from binding and this provides protectio.

Nolvadex Dosage

The average Nolvadex dosage can vary quite dramatically depending the purpose of use as well as whos using it. In most cases the compound comprised of Tamoxifen Citrate will be used for on cycle side-effect prevention, Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) and by females for a testosterone boosting effect or as part of a physique competition preparation. In any case the average Nolvadex dosage will range from 10mg to 40mg and in most cases never exceed this mark.

For most women the most common Nolvadex dosage will be at 10mg per day with very few ever exceeding 20mg per day and most will never need this much.

The purpose of use during PCT is simple; to stimulate natural testosterone production that has been suppressed due to anabolic steroid use and more than likely tremendously so. For most men daily therapy will begin at 40mg per day, eventually dropping to 20mg per day until use is discontinued. The average man will need at least 4 weeks of total therapy with many men needing 6 total weeks if their steroid cycle was long and suppressive in nature. However long your PCT plan is a Nolvadex dosage of 40mg per day for the first half of the plan followed by a 20mg every day the final weeks will suffice.

Selective estrogen receptor modulator Anastrozole /steroidmisty@ycphar.com

Anastrozole Effect

Arimidex can be referred to as an aromatase inhibitor which helps prevent estrogen production in females. Research has shown that the estrogen hormone is responsible for the creation of breast cancer tumors in women. Arimidex is the drug administered to intercept the enzyme aromatase, which is a substance that assists the body tissues in producing estrogen. Arimidex is a popular drug in the battle against breast cancer. It is by and large, a hormonal treatment which can prevent the recurrence of breast cancer. Arimidex, also known as Anastrozole is not a steroid.

Arimidex is known to have diminished estrogen way too much in some patients. This is why blood tests or salivary tests are recommended after a week of usage to determine whether the dosage is appropriate.

Arimidex tends to work quite differently than the traditional anti-estrogens. Anti-estrogens like Clomid or Nolvadex tend to intercept estrogen receptors in certain tissues while activating them in others. Meanwhile, Arimidex directly intercepts the enzyme aromatase. When a patient has been recommended the use of Arimidex, Clomid use along with is unnecessary. Doing so may have some benefits.

Arimidex is generally used for all stages and forms of breast cancer which are classified to be estrogen receptor positive. In case the patient has estrogen receptor negative or triple negative cancer, the usage of Arimidex is unlikely to help.

How does Arimidex work?

Arimidex generally works by blocking the aromatoze enzymes, facilitating the decrease in the production of estrogen in the human body. With the decrease in production of Arimidex, the risk of exposure to breast cancer is eliminated. This procedure of treating breast cancer is known as hormonal therapy.

Arimidex Dosages

Dosages of arimidex will vary from person to person. This is why blood work is essential to finding the perfect balance. One should start out at half a mg every other day and adjust as needed for the cycle. Some AAS users will not use an AI at first but they will have it on hand just in case. This isn’t always a good idea, as once you start noticing gyno or excessive water weight it could be too late to reverse. Since AAS will continue building in the body and aromatize (steroids turning into estrogen), taking arimidex at this point would be like trying to stop a car already in motion.

General dosages for men: 0.5mgs per day or every other day. Remember, it’s steroid dose dependent.
